Join First Night Worcester, Holy Cross Deaf Studies faculty and ASL students with professional theatre artist Ezzell Floranina for the 10th annual Deaf Youth Theatre Residency Program.

What:
Be part of First Night Worcester, the community-wide New Year’s Eve arts celebration that takes place on Thursday, December 31, 2009, by taking part in an original production for youth ages 10-18.
How:
Learning dramatic and movement skills (including stilt-walking!), activities and workshops will lead to creating a 45-minute theatrical performance A Starlight Cabaret.
Where:
Program takes place at College of the Holy Cross and Mechanics Hall in Worcester.
When:
Introductory Day and Registration: 10/4/09 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, College of the Holy Cross, Stein Building, Room 217
Weekly Workshops continue on Sundays – BEGINNING Oct. 18th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.
Full Day Workshops during school vacation on December 28th and 29th
Half Day Rehearsals scheduled on December 29th and 30th
FINAL performance December 31, 2009 at Mechanics Hall at 4:00 PM.
Who:
Children 10 years and older are invited to participate and join their signing peers for loads of fun working with artist/director Ezzell Floranina and Holy Cross students.
Cost:
$10 registration fee. Checks payable to First Night Worcester. (Waived based on need.)
What else:
Please bring lunch and an afternoon snack
Space is limited so respond ASAP
Students must attend all workshops
Family members are invited to enjoy all First Night Worcester festivities. Two buttons for admission will be provided for each child in this program. Children 10 and under are free.
