Services

Eligibility for Services

All current full-time students are eligible to receive counseling services.  Students may be referred off campus if specialty care is needed.  When time and circumstances permit, students on leave, graduates, faculty, administrators or staff members may consult with a staff member for a referral to mental health services in the community.

Making an Appointment

Students may make an appointment by calling or visiting the Counseling Center.  Students are typically offered an appointment within a few days of the time they contact the Center.  During periods when demand is greatest, however, a student may not be able to schedule an appointment for one week or more.  When students need to cancel or reschedule an appointment at the Counseling Center, they are asked to give 24-hours notice.

Crisis and Emergency Services

A crisis appointment time is available when the Counseling Center is open for students needing to be seen the same day.  Students can make a crisis appointment by calling (508-793-3363) or visiting the Counseling Center (Hogan 207) and identifying that they are in crisis and need to be seen the same day.

For on campus mental health emergencies when the Counseling Center is closed, contact Public safety at 508-793-2222.  For off campus mental health emergencies, call 911.
