Psychology Practicum

The College of the Holy Cross Counseling Center offers a nine-month Psychology Predoctoral Practicum Training Program for clinical or counseling doctoral students.  The applicants are expected to have completed, at minimum, one practicum placement through a clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program prior to starting at our center. Practicum students are on-site approximately 16 – 20 hours per week and will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of young adults who manifest the spectrum of psychological and psychiatric problems.

Practicum students can expect to have a well-rounded and well-supported experience supported by regular didactic training experiences which include an orientation training period, weekly individual clinical supervision (2 hours), a weekly Training Seminar, and a weekly Case Conference.  Applications are due in early January, with interviews held in January and early February, and notifications made between late February and early March. The externship begins in mid-August and ends in late May.

Students interested in applying to the practicum program can send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information for three references to the attention of Dr. Adriana DiPasquale at the mailing address below or by email to adipasqu@holycross.edu. Students may also contact Dr. DiPasquale by telephone with any questions about the practicum program at 508-793-3363.
