Clinical Services

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) clinicians use a brief psychotherapy model and focus on identifying your strengths, competencies, and resources as a foundation for problem-solving. If you need specialty care, long-term psychotherapy, or psychiatric services, we can assist you with referrals.

CAPS is unable to provide documentation for accessibility accommodations, emotional support animals, or release/renegotiation of Residence Hall contracts (please see Administrative Neutrality for additional details).

At CAPS, we offer quality psychological services and routinely review procedures to optimize students’ access to these services. As the associate director for clinical services, I am responsible for monitoring the service delivery flow; providing leadership and vision to collaboratively develop and manage clinical services that address the mental health needs of the student population; ensuring that staff members maintain accurate and timely documentation for all clinical interactions and consultations and evaluating and modifying policies and procedures to align with field standards and best practices.

CAPS demonstrates a commitment to understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds and to serving underserved and underrepresented populations. If you have a question, comment or concern about our services please feel free to contact me.
