Diversity Leadership Team

The Diversity Leadership Team promotes diversity and inclusion throughout the College of the Holy Cross. We advocate for a community where multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion are imbedded in the fabric of the College. Diversity encompasses multiple dimensions including, but not limited to, race, culture, nationality, ethnicity, religion, ideas, socio-economic class, geographic origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression, disability, and age.  Building diverse communities of faculty, staff, and students who are thriving and inclusive increases the College's capacity for excellence in teaching, learning, and research.  With a foundation deeply rooted in the Jesuit tradition, we celebrate the relationship between diversity, education, religion, and social justice transformation. In this spirit, the Diversity Leadership Team:

  • Works to create welcoming and supportive spaces for people from diverse backgrounds

  • Acts as a leader and resource for the community in developing a College-wide diversity plan

  • Promotes diversity and inclusion across the College's campus

  • Encourages staff, faculty, and students to prioritize diversity and inclusivity throughout their work at Holy Cross, including making recommendations for implementing best practices

  • Raises awareness, educates the community, and encourages ongoing dialogue about diversity and inclusive excellence

  • Encourages the practice of authentic, daily interactions between people of diverse backgrounds
