Requirements and Courses
Requirements
- An introductory course in Biology; one of:
- Biology 131 (Biology Majors only)
- Biology 120, 121 (premed Psychology Majors) -- cannot be taken before junior year.
- Non-premed majors may take an intro Topics in Biology course that is approved by the Concentration Director.
- Introduction to Psychology (Psychology 100 or 101)
- Four additional courses within the Concentration (see below).
- One of these must be in the non-major department.
- Students who do two semesters of thesis research need take no additional courses. The thesis is normally completed as part of a student's home department graduation requirements.
- Students who do only one semester of research must take an additional course.
- Students who do not do thesis work must take two additional Concentration courses.
- In addition, concentrators must:
- Complete two semesters in another science or mathematics (e.g., chemistry, physics or mathematics) and
- Participate in the concentration's periodic co-curricular programs.
