Structured around fundamental questions, the Holy Cross curriculum blends academic rigor with explicitly ethical and religious elements. The Jesuit tradition places an extraordinarily high value on the search for truth; a search that is embodied in the courses, seminars, programs, and libraries on campus. For many students, the search for truth begins with the First-Year Program, designed to help first-year students discover connections between learning and living together as members of the Holy Cross community, and as conscientious citizens of the world. The First-Year Program is a quintessential example of Holy Cross’ commitment to the holistic development and well-being of students—the personal, social, moral and spiritual, as well as the intellectual.
