Parents Fund

What is the Parents Fund?
Holy Cross is committed to maintaining the highest standard of educational excellence while holding the rate of tuition at a competitive level. The Parents Fund is an annual fundraising effort directed at parents in support of these goals. It is part of The Holy Cross Fund, which supports 33 percent of the College’s annual operating budget. Last year, the Parents Fund contributed more than $450,000 to the operating budget of the College.
Why am I being asked to contribute in addition to tuition payments?
Full tuition covers about 67 percent of the actual annual cost to educate a student. The difference between what is paid by all students each year and the actual cost to educate them must be made up by other resources such as gifts from parents, alumni, friends, and the endowment income.
Is my gift really that important?
Yes! Last year gifts ranged from $10 to $10,000. The Parents Fund provides an opportunity for parents to be part of the Holy Cross mission: to enrich students intellectually and spiritually through an excellent liberal arts education in the Jesuit tradition, and to develop future leaders who serve others. Corporations and foundations also consider participation as an indication of active support for Holy Cross.
How can I become involved?
There are many ways to give to Holy Cross, and it can be as easy as a phone call to our new toll-free number 1-877-433-1843, or a visit to the Make a Gift section of our Web site. In addition, parents who make a gift to the College may volunteer to assist with fundraising efforts.
