Senior Class Career Networking Evening
November 1, 2005
In
what is rapidly becoming a marquee event for alumni and students, 61 alumni
and 134 students gathered in Hogan Ballroom the first night of November
for the annual Senior Class Career Networking Evening.
Sponsored by the Holy Cross General Alumni Association, the Career
Planning Center and the Office of Alumni Relations, the evening provided
a wonderful opportunity for seniors to network and learn more about various
professions from alumni representing 23 career fields and ranging from
the Class of '52 to the Class of '03.
Students observed first-hand the strong sense of loyalty to Holy Cross and commitment to others that identifies a Holy Cross graduate and were the beneficiaries of the extensive career advice, information and insight offered by the alumni.
Alumni were impressed by the students' enthusiasm, maturity and appreciative manner. Comments such as "The students were wonderful and asked solid questions" and "I found it particularly helpful to talk about the different routes alumni took to reach the positions they now hold" served to highlight the overall success of the program.
If you would like to learn more about career networking, the Holy Cross Student/Alumni Career Network welcomes your participation. Alumni seeking or willing to offer career advice and support can do so through the Career Network. Please contact Bob Wally '68 at rwally@holycross.edu.
