Vice President for Administration and Finance
Michael J. Lochhead
As the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Michael oversees the Offices of Administrative Services, Auxiliary Services, Physical Plant, Planning and Budget and the Controller’s Office. Prior to joining Holy Cross in August of 2004, Michael was the Assistant Vice President for Business and Finance at the University of San Francisco from 2001– 2004.
During his time at USF, Michael oversaw the University’s investments, capital planning and financing, student accounts receivable and special projects. From 1999 – 2001, Michael was a Manager with Arthur Andersen’s Higher Education Consulting Practice in Boston where he worked on a variety of projects with numerous higher education clients including Harvard, Boston College, Babson College, Bentley College, Wellesley College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Michael worked at Boston College from 1995 – 1999 serving as the Manager of Financial Reporting. Prior to joining Boston College, Michael was employed at Arthur Andersen from 1993 – 1995 in the assurance practice performing audits on primarily mutual fund, banking and manufacturing clients. Michael is also a veteran of the United States Army where he served with the Military Intelligence Corps from 1986 – 1990.
Michael holds an M.B.A. from the Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College and a B.S. in Accounting, also from Boston College.
