Study Abroad Program
An experience overseas enhances a student’s academic opportunities and provides rich occasion for personal and cultural growth. As part of its commitment to the liberal arts and expanding student knowledge and experience of cultures beyond their own, the College of the Holy Cross strongly encourages students to consider studying abroad in their third year.
Students become fully integrated into the educational system and social culture of their host country. They enroll in internationally renowned academic institutions—all regularly evaluated by Holy Cross—with a full course load. They receive the academic guidance, counseling, language, and tutorial support systems that foster their educational experience. Where appropriate, students live with host nationals and in families.
Expected to participate in the cultural and intellectual life of their university, Holy Cross students also work on a co-curricular project, engage in community service, or in internships which integrates them with their host community. Their productive international experience becomes an integral part of their college career.
