Self-Paced Language Program
The Self-Paced Language program offers Spanish students an opportunity to personalize their language learning experience by working individually on course materials in a directed independent study. Students use textbooks, video, CD-ROM, the Internet, and other technology to direct their own learning, and meet regularly with native speakers to practice oral communication. Practice activities and evaluations are designed to improve writing, listening and reading skills
Courses are designed to help those students who come to college with prior experience in Spanish by offering them an opportunity to identify their strengths and improve upon their weaknesses; facilitating their integration into more advanced language courses. The Self-Paced Language program also welcomes other highly motivated individuals who are comfortable with technology and are interested in learning the Spanish language.
