Semester Away Program
Students who wish to engage in academic work not available at the College or to experience a different social, cultural or academic environment may apply to the Semester Away Program for a semester or full academic year of study at another institution or fully accredited program.
The possibilities are extensive. Students have pursued study in fields such as architecture, urban planning, marine biology, film making, journalism, and engineering. There are many programs to consider - in past years, for example, students have lived at sea, engaged in international environmental studies and community development, pursued scientific research at national laboratories, and enrolled in historically black colleges and universities.
