Holy Cross cultivates relationships with many of the nation's major private foundations and corporations, leading to philanthropic grant support for the College. Through the Office of Grants and Corporate and Foundation Giving, the College competes for challenge grants, and works with corporate matching gift programs to provide greater incentive to Holy Cross alumni/ae and friends to donate even more generously for targeted or general purposes.
Corporate and foundation grants provide support to the College, our students, and our faculty in many ways:
- assists in the development of new courses, concentrations and pedagogical approaches
- funds new technologies in the classroom, laboratory, library and office
- promotes our faculty's scholarly research
- links Holy Cross and regional K-12 educational programs
- establishes scholarships for financially needy and talented students
- contributes to building and maintaining campus infrastructure
- institutes creative student life opportunities
- supports the College in honoring its commitment to the highest standards of personalized instruction in the Jesuit, liberal arts tradition
