Kim McElaney, director of the Chaplains' Office

Kim McElaney, director of the Chaplains’ Office, wants you to ask yourself some tough questions. The first woman to serve in this role at Holy Cross, McElaney is an alumna of the College and holds a graduate degree in divinity. As an undergraduate at Holy Cross, she found her purpose in life, and she helps extend that same opportunity to today’s students. In McElaney’s words, “We challenge people to be willing to think and ask hard questions. Who am I? What are the gifts I have been given? Is God a part of this? We live in a time and a society where there is little time for reflection, for quiet, for prayer. At Holy Cross, we try to create an environment where students learn to take time for these things and pursue their own journeys in faith and purpose.”
