Orientation to city. Visit, dialogue with poor families in various neighborhoods. Overview of history and sociology of Mexico. |
| Day 5 |
Presentation on "Church and Faith in Mexico". Visit with local artisans. Visit Base Christian community. |
| Day 6 |
Attend Mass at Cathedral. Presentation by union organizer and by national labor leader. |
| Day 7 |
Day trip to rural indigenous village of Tlamacazapa. |
| Day 8 |
Break day - swimming and picnic at Las Estacas - nature preserve. |
| Day 9 |
Travel by bus to city of Tlapa in state of Guerrero. Accommodations at Hotel Posada del Sol. Visit with children at local orphanage. Meeting and dialogue with Bishop. |
| Day 10 |
Day trip to mountain village of Tototepec to spend day with youth group. |
| Day 11 |
Meeting with Director of Human Rights Organization in Tlapa. Visit and Mass with Holy Spirit priests. Return to Cuernavaca. |
| Day 12 |
Meeting with social worker and health care practitioner. Meeting with university students of Chiapas. |
| Day 13 |
Mass at working class parish. Visit with Arturo Ornelas, educator
philosopher, and poet. |
| Day 14 |
Travel by bus to Mexico City. Visit the US embassy and Shrine of Our Lady of Guadeloupe. Group fiesta. |
| Day 15 |
Visit and dialogue with congressman and human rights activist. Wrap-up. Closing liturgy. |
| Day 16 |
Depart for home from Mexico City. |
