The Cambridge Street Apartments serve as a halfway house where families stay for a short time while getting back on their feet. Our responsibility is to hang-out with the kids (who are of all different ages) while their parent's take courses ranging from how to survive a job interview to the strategies of good parenting. The most rewarding aspect of this program is watching the growth of the children and their parents as they realize that things can and are getting better. The goal of this program isn't just to provide a mentor to the kids, but to help them adjust living in a totally new environment.
