Investing in Ideas

Structured around fundamental questions, the Holy Cross curriculum blends academic rigor with explicitly ethical and religious elements. The Jesuit tradition places an extraordinarily high value on the search for truth; a search that is embodied in the courses, seminars, programs, and libraries on campus. For many students, the search for truth begins with Montserrat, a program designed to help first-year students enhance their academic and campus experiences during their first year at Holy Cross.
Combining the three parts of college often seen as separate entities, living, learning, and doing, Montserrat provides first year students with an opportunity for academic exploration and self-discovery. Montserrat, is a quintessential example of Holy Cross’ commitment to the holistic development and well-being of students—the personal, social, moral and spiritual, as well as the intellectual.
